Our hotel room in LA was spacious and modern. It was located around the corner from Hollywood Blvd and a short walk to the Metro.

We did our check in as quickly as we could before rushing out for Santa Monica Pier before the sun set. We got there with just 15 minutes to spare before sun down. Here are the pictures of that evening..

The world before me..Although the place was nice, the journey out there definitely tired us out. We had to take 2 different buses with a total travel time of 1 hour and 30 minutes just to get there. We were told the Metro network does not get anywhere close to that area. The bus trip was long and quite frustrating because it would stop at every bus stop to pick and drop off passengers. The journey back was 2 hours long because of rush hour traffic. By the time we got back to the room, we were knackered.
We think LA should consider having a special shuttle to Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach as its one and only stop/ destination.
